Important:
- Scholarships are available for income eligible families for camps. Please download the application form or contact our front desk at 540-825-0000. Please allow two weeks for the application to be processed.
- All Access members receive 10% off the camp fee.
- $10 discount for sibling in the same camp.
- All camps will meet in the recreation center.
- Campers should wear sneakers/athletic shoes and bring their own water bottle and snacks.
- Camp fees are non refundable in the event of registrant’s cancellation.

VOLLEYBALL
Elementary & middle school coed volleyball camps with Olivia Masaitis
June 2-6, 2025 -or- July 14-18, 2025*
Elementary school camp for 3rd-5th graders: 12:00-2:00 pm. Middle school camp: 2:00-4:00 pm.
Fee for each camp: $120
*We reserve the right to merge the June & July camps if needed based on registrations.
Description: Camp participants will work on developing and fine tuning basic volleyball skills. They will also learn the defensive and offensive skills of serving, passing, setting, hitting and blocking through conditioning, volleyball drills and games. For elementary school age participants, this camp is an introduction to the game of volleyball. For middle school players who might have their eye on volleyball as a high school sport, this developmental camp will help build the skills and understanding of game play to prepare for high school tryouts. Both camps are coed.
Camp manager Olivia Masaitis brings both playing and coaching experience to the program. She has over a decade of experience coaching volleyball players from 6 to 18 years old, from beginner to advanced skill levels, including at the high school varsity level. Her experience as a player includes competitive play as a defensive specialist with the Eastern View High School Cyclones and Greensboro College Pride. She is also a certified volleyball official. Olivia is currently the health & physical education teacher at Culpeper Floyd T. Binns Middle School. She has a Master’s degree in Sport Management & Biomechanics.
VOLLEYBALL
High school volleyball clinic for girls with coach Olivia Masaitis
June 9-13, 2025 -or- July 21-25, 2025, 12:00-4:00 pm*
Camp fee: $180

CLUBHOUSE ON THE COURTS
JUNE 16-20, 2025. 12:00-2:00 pm

Camp fee: $80
Description: Kids will enjoy age-appropriate court-based games, obstacle courses & more, plus imaginative play & crafts – all to encourage movement, curiosity and creativity! The camp will include themed days for shapes, colors, food and show and tell. Bounce party on the final day, with a bouncy house provided by Danny’s Bouncy House Rentals! Children should wear sneakers, bring a water bottle, and be able to use the restroom independently.
Camp program manager for ages 2-5 is Jessica Bottary. With more than 3 years’ involvement in our organization’s child care program, “Mrs. Jessica” is a familiar face to many of our member families. She has always loved being surrounded by kids, and prior to joining our team, she spent 20 years as a teacher’s aide and nanny for many families.
Camp program manager for ages 6-10 is Suzanne Wirtz. Suzanne has creatively supported health education & crafts in our Homeschool Movement & Health program since 2019 and has also been involved in recreation activities for area children’s camps and programs that visit our center. When not having fun with the kiddos, she is the lead Member Support Specialist at the PRFC front desk.
BASEBALL
Camp with elite college baseball players from the Culpeper Cavaliers, Culpeper’s Valley Baseball League franchise
June 23-27, 2025. 12:00-2:00 pm
Camp fee: $120
Description: Ages 9-13. All positions are welcome. Camp participants will receive instruction from a diverse group of high level college ball players from all over the country. The Culpeper Cavaliers collegiate summer baseball team franchise is operated by Culpeper Community Baseball. The organization’s mission is to provide a fun-filled, family-oriented, memorable experience and be a model program in terms of helping youth and the community in general. SPORTS PERFORMANCE with Edson Appleton
Ages 12-15
Monday, June 23, Wednesday, June 25 & Friday, June 27. 12:00-4:00 pm.
Program fee: $120
Description: Learn how to build and improve strength, balance, speed, agility and movement needed for better performance in any sport. Campers should bring a water bottle and a towel and wear athletic shoes.
Camp participants will work with Edson Appleton, a personal trainer at PRFC. With over 13 years of experience in health, fitness, and sports, Edson has worked as a strength & conditioning coach for athletes at all levels, a personal trainer, and a youth sports coach. He sees himself as an educator in health and human kinetics, focusing on teaching proper mechanics, efficient movement patterns and nutrition to empower athletes. Edson’s passion lies in helping others reach their full potential through safe, effective training plans that create lasting change.
BASKETBALL
Middle school-age coed basketball skills program with coach Bobby Zajkowski
July 7-11, 2025. 12:00-2:00 pm
Camp fee: $120
This basketball camp for boys & girls in middle school will focus on skills work and game play; improvement of muscular endurance. cardiovascular fitness, balance and coordination; and development of fundamental movement skills.
Coach Zajkowski is a middle school basketball coach and a personal trainer at Powell Wellness Center.
TAEKWONDO
Introductory Taekwondo program with Wendy Embry
July 28-August 1, 2025. 12:00-2:00 pm
Camp fee: $120
Ages 5-12
Description: A great opportunity for kids to sample Taekwondo! Campers will receive an introduction to blocking, striking and kicking techniques. They will also learn exercises to strengthen their core and increase overall stamina in support of Taekwondo progression. Camp leader Wendy Embry has taught Taekwondo for seven years and has instructed youth from kindergarten through high school age. She has earned a 2nd Dan black belt level in Taekwondo.
BASKETBALL
Advanced basketball clinic for high school boys with coach James Thompson
July 28-August 1, 2025. 2:00-4:00 pm.
Camp fee: $120
Description: Advanced basketball skills and drills for high school athletes (boys) focusing on overall player development. Coach Thompson coaches the Culpeper County High School boys’ varsity team. This camp will include passing, dribbling, defensive, shooting, rebounding & ball handling drills with 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3 and full court game play!
