Youth Futsal
Curious about Futsal? It can be played as a standalone or as a fun addition for a youth soccer player. The game is different from indoor soccer but builds similar skills. Futsal’s play area is smaller and is usually a court or court-like surface rather than a turf surface. Due to the smaller space, Futsal tends to be faster moving than indoor soccer. Typically there are 5 players per side in a game.
We are excited to offer this activity for area youth! Our program for kids is developmental and focuses on building skills and enthusiasm for the game. Coached group sessions are available for children ages 3-5, elementary school-age children and middle school-age children. Registration is not required. Drop-in fee, $10.
Youth age 16 & older may participate in drop-on Futsal court play.
Please refer to the current month’s court schedule for more information.

Music & Movement
Music ignites all areas of a child’s development, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language and overall literacy skills. Music helps the body and mind work together. Exposing children to music during their early development also helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. And last but not least, music is FUN and is an interest that can be explored over a lifetime!
In this program for elementary school children, program leader Cienna Lindsay will help children explore sound, music and instruments in a fun, relaxed and social setting. Cienna holds a music degree from Radford University and has worked as music director at a radio station and supported a music and mindfulness podcast. “During Music & Movement we look at music from a different perspective by experimenting with different instruments and playing games like musical moving,” she says. Games engage kids and also help teach aspects of music such as rhythm. From the bucket drums to tambourines, kids will have the opportunity to explore various instruments and will get a recorder of their own!
Music & Movement is a 6-week session. The program fee is $50/child and includes a recorder to take home. Please watch our calendar and Facebook page for future availability.
