Youth athletic performance camp

ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE with Edson Appleton

Camp dates & times: Monday, July 20, Wednesday, July 22 & Friday, July 24

Ages 9-11 – 12:00-2:00 pm

Ages 12-15 – 2:00-4:00 pm.

Youth athletes will work with an experienced personal trainer to learn how to build and improve strength, balance, speed, agility and movement needed for better performance in any sport. Campers should bring a water bottle and a towel and wear athletic shoes. This is a coed camp.

Ages 9–11: Foundations Camp
Building Athletic Fundamentals the Right Way
This group focuses on mastering movement basics in a fun, high-energy environment.
Key Focus Areas:
 • Proper sprint mechanics
 • Agility and coordination drills
 • Jumping & safe landing mechanics
 • Introductory strength training (bodyweight & light resistance)
 • Balance, body control, and injury prevention
Athletes learn how to move efficiently while developing confidence, discipline, and love for training.
Ages 12–15: Performance Development Camp
Speed. Power. Strength. Sport Transfer.
Designed for middle school athletes ready for more advanced training.
Key Focus Areas:
 • Linear speed development & acceleration
 • Change of direction & reactive agility
 • Explosive power training
 • Strength development fundamentals
 • Advanced jumping & landing mechanics
 • Injury reduction strategies
Athletes train with purpose and intensity while learning why the training works — building buy-in and long-term performance growth.

Camp participants will work with Edson Appleton, a personal trainer at PRFC. With over 13 years of experience in health, fitness, and sports, Edson has worked as a strength & conditioning coach for athletes at all levels, a personal trainer, and a youth sports coach. He sees himself as an educator in health and human kinetics, focusing on teaching proper mechanics, efficient movement patterns and nutrition to empower athletes. Edson’s passion lies in helping others reach their full potential through safe, effective training plans that create lasting change.
