Participants in this coed camp will work on developing and fine tuning basic volleyball skills. They will also learn the defensive and offensive skills of serving, passing, setting, hitting and blocking through conditioning, volleyball drills and games. For middle school players who might have their eye on volleyball as a high school sport, this developmental camp will help build the skills and understanding of game play to prepare for high school tryouts.

Camp manager Olivia Masaitis brings both playing and coaching experience to the program. She has over a decade of experience coaching volleyball players from 6 to 18 years old, from beginner to advanced skill levels, including at the high school varsity level. Her experience as a player includes competitive play as a defensive specialist with the Eastern View High School Cyclones and Greensboro College Pride. She is also a certified volleyball official. Olivia is currently the health & physical education teacher at Culpeper Floyd T. Binns Middle School. She has a Master’s degree in Sport Management & Biomechanics.
